The Lav Forge ("the Studio") operates on a principle of data minimalism. We collect only the precise information required to negotiate, engineer, and deliver bespoke software solutions. This includes: (a) Contact information provided via our Discord, website forms, or direct communication channels (email, Discord username); (b) Project specifications and requirements necessary to fulfill development requests; (c) Payment information processed through third-party platforms (Fiverr, PayPal, etc.) which we do not store directly; (d) Technical logs generated during addon testing and debugging, which are deleted upon project completion unless retained for ongoing support.
2. How We Use Your Data
The data we collect is utilized strictly for operational fidelity. Your contact information is used exclusively to provide project updates, deliver compiled code, and coordinate post-deployment support. Project specifications are analyzed solely to generate accurate development estimates and to engineer solutions that meet your requirements. We do not use your data for marketing purposes, analytics, or any secondary applications unrelated to direct service delivery. Payment information is handled exclusively by third-party payment processors; we never store credit card numbers or banking details.
3. Data Sharing
The Studio treats all client gameplay strategies and custom Lua logic as highly classified trade secrets. We will never sell, rent, or lease your data to third parties. Your custom addon code remains your intellectual property unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing. We do not share client information with other developers, guilds, or external entities. In the event of a legal subpoena or court order, we will notify you promptly unless prohibited by law, and will disclose only the minimum information legally required.
4. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information during transmission and storage. Communication via Discord and email is encrypted in transit. Project files and code repositories are stored securely and access is restricted to authorized personnel only. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and communications.
5. Data Retention
We retain project-related data for the duration of the development contract plus the support period (typically 1 month post-delivery). After this period, unless an ongoing support agreement exists, we delete or anonymize project files, chat logs, and specifications. Payment records may be retained longer for accounting and legal compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us directly, subject to reasonable technical and legal constraints.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data held by us. You may request a copy of all data we have collected about you. You may withdraw consent for data processing at any time, though this may affect our ability to complete ongoing projects. To exercise these rights, contact us via Discord or email with a clear subject line referencing your request.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will take immediate steps to delete such information.
8. International Data Transfers
The Lav Forge operates internationally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. By using our services, you consent to such transfers. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
